The next day, we were graced by the presence of Antonio Cozido, one of the best dancers in Salvador. We spent two hours learning the basics of Brazilian dances including Samba and Forro. It wiped me out, but it was one of my favorite memories from Brazil. Antonio was the healthiest middle-aged man I have met, and some of the girls in my class were swooning. Let me tell you, his hips don’t lie.
After our dance lesson, a group of us headed over to the Arena Fonte Nova, a futbol stadium built for the 2014 World Cup. The game was forgettable, but the drinks were cheap, and we had a great time.
